The instructor-led course is 3 days and includes concepts and discussion but does not including exam time.
Completion of this course helps you prepare for the Certified Engineer – Command Center Exam, which is included with course registration. Passing the exam is required to obtain certification.

This course is designed for architects and engineers who plan, design, and manage their Commvault environment with Command Center.
Pré-requis
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols).
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux server administration.
- Understanding of storage concepts (disk libraries, tape libraries, cloud storage, deduplication).
- Basic knowledge of data backup and recovery principles.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (hypervisors, virtual machines, transport modes).
- Awareness of security best practices for data protection and disaster recovery.
- Some experience with system performance optimization (data streams, storage policies, indexing).
Objectifs
At the end of the course, you should be able to :
- Design and implement a CommCell environment, including CommServe server planning and indexing.
- Plan and manage storage infrastructure, including disk/tape libraries, cloud integration, deduplication, and HyperScale X technology.
- Configure storage policies and retention strategies for optimized data protection.
- Understand and deploy virtualization solutions, including transport modes and Virtual Server Agent (VSA) management.
- Implement and manage virtual application protection using different agent-based and agentless methods.
- Gain expertise in IntelliSnap technology for efficient snapshot management, block-level backups, and storage array configurations.
- Optimize system performance, manage data streams, protection windows, and restoration processes.
